Community Program

Vida Jovem officially inaugurated the Vatterott Educational and Cultural Center in June 2007, to provide additional resources to its sixty residential scholars and thirty alumni and their families with greater efficiency and better infrastructure than the previous home-based program.  In addition, Vida Jovem initiated a community outreach program to eventually serve fifty children in need from the community.   

The Community Program provides complementary education and extra-curricular activities of the Vatterott Center to highly motivated children in need from the São Paulo public school system who demonstrate a keen desire to learn. Without the support of Vida Jovem’s Vatterott Center, it is unlikely that these children would study beyond the high school level.

The Vatterott Center has been completely renovated with eleven learning spaces, including a library, computer lab, art room, music room, seminar room, kitchen, dance studio, classrooms and recreation area.  The computer lab is equipped with thirteen computers that have broadband internet access. 

In addition, the Vatterott Center offers lectures, workshops and seminars for the parents of the scholars, and for the alumni.
