Boys Hope Girls Hope The Vida Jovem Association is affiliated with Boys Hope Girls Hope, a non-governmental organization founded in the United States in 1977 by Jesuit priest Father Paul Sheridan. Since then, Boys Hope Girls Hope has helped children irrespective of race, sex, religion, nationality, or culture. In addition to the children at Vida Jovem, Boys Hope Girls Hope helps over 220 children and 113 university students in thirty homes throughout sixteen cities in the United States . Boys Hope Girls Hope also offers assistance to sixty-five children in need in Guatemala with four homes and Peru with two homes. Since 1991, 100% of Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars in the U.S. who completed high school have gone on to university. Vida Jovem is headed in the same direction; we support our alumni (young adults who have completed the Vida Jovem Program) with vocational school and university scholarships.
