28 years ago, the Association Young Life invests in the integral formation of children and adolescents. We offer courses of professional qualification and psychosocial service to the adolescent, its family and community.

Historical

 

The Association Young Life is a nongovernmental organization located in the Ipiranga that attends youths of 14 of 21 years of him I spill and of the communities roads, offering courses of professional qualification and Administration with emphasis in hotel Management and Tourism, Maintenance of Computers (CISCO System), Electrician the Fitter and Web Design.

 

It Founded in 1987 by Pe. Eduardo Dougherty, a Jesuitical priest that knew about the success of a program for needy children’s that combined welcome in home-homes with emphasis in education, developed by the Boys Hope Girls Hope in St. Louis, Mo., U.S.A. He brought this concept the Brazil and with the help of the friends structured the Association with Peter Orglmeister his first Executive Director. Young Life began with the welcome of children’s in vulnerable situation, offering them the access to the health, education, values as affection, respect and mainly alternatives for create another one expectation of future.

 

From 2007 the association innovated and created the Cultural Educational Center, for lend service of the communities’ roads. Initially it offered school reinforcement and extracurrilar activities as dances, music, capoeira, percussion and other cultural and artistic expressions, however with the development of the project association chose to prioritize the insertion of youths in the labor market and focus in courses of professional qualification.
